Notes (Johann) Heinrich (Wilhelm) Grenser (b Lipprechstroda, 1764; d Dresden, 1813) was a member of a German family of wind instrument makers. He was apprenticed to his uncle (Carl) August(in) Grenser from 1779 to 1786 and took over the workshop in 1796. He made flutes, oboes, clarinets (including basset-horns), fagottini and bassoons, and what may have been a csakan (a keyed recorder).
