Notes Johann Heinrich Eichentopf (b. ? Stolberg, Harz, 1678; d Leipzig, 1769) is best known for his woodwind instruments, though noted also for brass and even bowed strings. His surviving instruments include recorders, a flute, oboes and bassoons. His stamp includes a device depicting a vase of oak-leaves with acorn, a visual pun on his name.
