Notes | Poerschman (b Wittenberg, 1680; d Leipzig, 1757) was a solo bassoonist and oboist with the Leipzig Grossen Conzertes (later the Gewandhuas Orchestra). He also was an instrument maker whose few surviving instruments include a recorder, several flutes, an oboe d'amore, and a bassoon.
